Legendary Nigerian singer, Darey, has revealed why he doesn’t sing anymore.
The singer made these revelations during the media tour of the Entertainment Week Lagos, on Tuesday, 10th December, 2024, as he spoke with media professionals about the activities of the week.
According to Darey, he doesn’t sing anymore because of initiatives like the Entertainment Week Lagos where the younger generation can learn from industry experts and gain valuable insights.

He told Claridan TV that he has given up making new music in other to focus on creating platforms that will help the younger generations in their career paths.
Entertainment Week Lagos is an annual event organized by popular Nigerian singer Darey Alade and his wife, Deola Alade, to celebrate talent, ambition, vision, and most importantly to impact and inspire the younger generation of talents.
This year’s edition is themed “Connecting Tides” and it is scheduled for 10th to 15th December, 2024, at the Livespot Creative Center, Ikate, Lagos State.
