Busola Dakolo is the wife of award winning Nigerian musician, Timi Dakolo, and a mother of three. She is a professional photographer and founder, Skills Kitchen and Integrated Services Ltd.
Busola Dakolo rose to fame after she accused the pastor of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape.
She said that the pastor raped her twice 20 years ago before she turned 18.
In an interview with YNaija, she said:
“We were living in a duplex at the time. The gate is usually open and people would just knock on the living room door and we would open. My mum had traveled with my sister and it was just my other sister in the house. The house was so big that if you were upstairs, you would not know what is happening downstairs.”
Early Life and Education
Busola Dakolo, formerly Busola Nee Amupitan (before she got married) was born on the 3rd of October, 1985 in the capital of Kwara State, Ilorin. She as well grew up in Ilorin and had her primary education there.
She attended Gifted Academy, Suleja, Niger State, and has a bachelor’s degree in Geology and Mineral resources from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State.

She did her National Youth Service Corps program in Bayelsa State, after which she got a job in the information technology department, Zenith Bank, Victoria Island, Lagos State. She worked there from 2007-2010 before becoming a photographer.
Busola and Timi Dakolo met themselves in the congregation at the House on the Rock Church in 2008. Timi approached her and asked for her phone number but she gave him a fake phone number. Nevertheless, he didn’t give up.
They got married on the 31st of March 2012, after which she changed her name from Busola Nee Amupitan to Busola Dakolo. Indeed their love is really strong because up till date they are still happy together.
When her husband, Timi Dakolo was asked by Showtime, the secret behind their successful marriage, he said:
“Communication is the life line. Make your partner your gossip mate. Sometimes it’s not love that keeps the marriage, its friendship. We just know ourselves and that’s how we have been able to come this far.”
Her and her husband, Timi Dakolo are both blessed with three kids, Hallel Dakolo, Zoe Ateni Dakolo and Alexander Dakolo.
